It took me a few extra days to get these done. I want to say "good job" to everyone who helped with the kidfest parade! You guys rock! The floats are so awesome & the costumes are unbelievable! I also want to give a shout out to FONDA WILDS...you mean so much to the kids of Richmond! I know my boys love having you as a teacher, and the work you do outside of school doesn't go unnoticed! Kidfest, Lemonade Day, Daniel Reid Day, The Day at the Museum, the art project fire hydrants...and the list goes on!

Okay, I guess Midwest Living all ready did their photoshoot and the story about the Depot District is in the August 2009 issue. Yesterday's shoot was for the 2010 Indiana Travel guide! Give me the goober of the day award, please! lol!

The above photo is of our neighbor shop, Good Life Emporium, which is owned by the awesome Roger Lindsey. That is the photo from the July/August issue of Midwest Living. He makes his shop so pretty that I use his bench all of the time in photoshoots. I guess I am not the only one that likes it!

I had the most wonderful time photographing this wedding! Things didn't go as planned...mother nature decided the wedding wouldn't take place outdoors. The rain finished about the time the ceremony ended so we decided to return to the original plan and do the wedding party's photos at the rose garden. I think the rain made it even more beautiful! The greens were gorgeous as were the roses!

The boys had a blast on Lemonade Day! A big "THANK YOU" to Fonda Wilds for putting it all together. There were over 1000 kids that not only learned how to run their own business...but they also are donating a portion of their profits to charity! Zach & Isaac are sending money to help a church that is being built in Africa.

Weekend at the falls...

We had an awesome weekend at Cumberland Falls. Our family along with my brother's family and our best friends went down to surprise another friend on his birthday. We had been planning this trip since January...we were waiting at Sunny's barbecue when he got there for lunch. The look on his face was priceless! We stayed in a cabin at the falls...it was beautiful! If you ever get a chance to go there I really recommend the cabins. We had 2 bedrooms, 4 queen beds, two baths, a fireplace, full kitchen & a deck that looked out over the mountains!

We also got to attend church where our friend is the youth pastor. It was the most amazing service! And the praise & worship was awesome!

Today was the most perfect day for an Easter egg hunt! The sun was out and so were hundreds of kids!! The Depot District (which is where our studio is located) put on their annual egg hunt. It was such a great turn-out. There were games and several lucky kids walked (or RODE) away on new bikes! Even more kids won jumbo Easter baskets and 750 kids got treat bags! St. Louis...

Here are a ton of random shots from our St Louis trip. We went to the City Museum ( http://www.citymuseum.org/home.asp check it out! It is crazy!!!). We also spent the day at the zoo with one of my BFFs from high school, Becky Krywko. She is a zookeeper there so it was an awesome tour. The boys got to feed the giraffes as well as get up close and personal with the penguins! We also went to the Gateway Arch & museum. The ride to the top was fun and the view was awesome! On our way back we stopped at the Cahokia Indian Mounds. We braved the long trek to the top. Once up there the view was beautiful, you could even see all of the way to St. Louis!

I'll post more photos later...we took three cameras & I haven't loaded the rest of them!!!

You can not say that I am not dedicated to my art...lol! After yesterday's shoot not only was I freezing, but I was completely soaked! I think every shoot I do, somehow I end up laying on the ground, and I won't stop even for an inch of snow on the ground.

Today's shoot was for Bin's big break. A magazine is doing a story on him & he needed some shots to go along. I think by the end he was a bit bored with me...anyway here are a few from his shoot!

My nephew-in-law got home the day before Thanksgiving from Iraq! I thank God that he is home safe with his family! His & my niece's family sure did grow while he was serving our country! She had a baby boy this summer! This is the first family photo session of the whole bunch! I was honored to get to take them! AND...not only was it Thanksgiving evening when we had the session, it was my great niece's 2nd birthday!! Happy Birthday Ja'kyla!!!! I love you baby girl!!!!!

WINTER WONDERLAND!!!!

We have built a limited edition set "WINTER WONDERLAND" for the Old Fashioned Christmas Festival in the Historic Depot District. The festival starts Tuesday December 2nd and runs every Tuesday until Christmas. There will be horse drawn carriage rides, double decker bus rides, you can get your photo with Santa (at the furniture gallery), food, band will be playing at several locations, luminaries will line the street and MUCH more!!!

Our part of the festivities will be our new set. Space is limited, we are planning on doing 10 mini-sessions and evening. So come early on Tuesday and get your time booked! We look forward to seeing everyone!!!!

I have been so busy that I hadn't done my boys fall photos yet. Since we had some awesome weather this weekend my goal was to get the boys shoot done. I am happy with the photos...even if they were more interested in putting each other in headlocks than smiling for me!!!!

Last night I took the boys and Noah's "girlfriend" to trunk or treat at a local church and then to the corn maze. Being the mom that I am I had to get in a few photos before we left. I cracked up the whole time I was snapping these. We have a Ninja, a karate kid, a pirate & a cowboy. I think they all looked pretty good!!!

The cold won't keep us inside!!!

AGAIN!!! This makes number 21 in the "great" department for me. Yep, thats right, 21 great nieces & nephews! This little man was born Tuesday night, one week early and 9 lbs 12 oz!!! He is all ready a football lineman!! I wanted to share some photos I got to take in the 60 seconds that the nurse brought him to me in the hospital. Oh, and the first image, I think he was saying "Hi Aunt Steph"...don't you? lol!

Kidsfest...Kids Take Over the Museum!!!!

This afternoon was day two of the LOGOS kids taking over the museum! This year Zachary was Wilbur Wright...I think he looks awful cute as Wilbur!!! You can't have Wilbur without Orval...here the two Wright brothers are, I think they must be discussing their next plan for a new plane. What do you think?

This was a busy weekend filled sessions! We started out Friday with a wonderful family of four of the cutest kids! I did their "school" pictures last year and they sure have grown since then!
